SUNY Expands Heckscher-Supported Emergency Aid Program to All 64 Campuses
SUNY announced that emergency aid grants will now be available at all 64 campuses, supported by $600,000 in funding from New York State. The statewide expansion builds on an emergency aid pilot launched in 2017 at seven SUNY campuses with funding from the Heckscher Foundation for Children and Gerstner Philanthropies. The program provides small grants to help students facing unexpected financial emergencies stay enrolled and continue toward their degrees.
