Approach

The Queens Building Trades Success Initiative is a new training program that is offered by Commonpoint in partnership with Building Skills New York (BSNY). BSNY is a nonprofit construction workforce development organization connecting underemployed and unemployed New Yorkers to construction training and job opportunities in New York City. This partnership is bringing BSNY’s effective model to young people in Queens by pairing BSNY’s training model with Commonpoint’s array of social service supports.
